In a world where creativity, authenticity and digital influence intersect, Amanda Taylor represents a new generation of Australian women redefining beauty, confidence and self-expression. A Ms Galaxy Australia 2026 Finalist, Amanda is not only stepping onto the pageant stage but also building a vibrant presence as a cosplayer, UGC creator and lifestyle content creator.
Originally from Australia, Amanda’s journey into the world of pageantry began during a period of personal reflection, when she felt the desire to challenge herself and explore new possibilities beyond her routine. What started as a leap into the unknown has quickly evolved into a powerful journey of self-growth, resilience and empowerment.
Through her work in user-generated content (UGC) and digital storytelling, Amanda embraces vulnerability and authenticity, sharing both the highs and lows of life with her audience. Her passion for cosplay, pop culture and creative expression has also played a key role in strengthening her confidence and celebrating individuality.
Beyond the glamour of the Galaxy stage, Amanda is deeply committed to raising awareness about autism, mental health and disability inclusion in the workforce, causes that reflect her personal experiences and advocacy.
As she prepares for the Ms Galaxy Australia 2026 finals, Amanda Taylor stands as an inspiring voice for women who dare to be different — proving that strength, kindness and creativity can shine just as brightly as any crown.

1.- Amanda, can you take us back to the moment you decided to pursue the Ms Galaxy Australia journey — what sparked that ambition?
The moment happened during a time last year where I felt a bit flat & was wondering what was next for me. I had been in the same job & hobbies for a very long time & just wanted to throw something new to the mix of what I can achieve!
2.- As a finalist for 2026, what does representing Australia on such a platform truly mean to you?
Its means so much to me, especially with no personal history in the pageant world & I am so excited to become an even better version of myself regardless of the outcome.
3.- How has your background as a UGC creator shaped your personal brand and public presence?
UGC & content creation is also a new venture I started taking last year. I feel its been an amazing opportunity to again get myself out there as much as possible & help build my confidence.
4.- In an era driven by digital influence, how do you maintain authenticity while creating engaging content?
I will always only create content that aligns with things that interest me & I genuinely like. I like to be vulnerable too by sharing the down moments in life as well as the highs.
5.- What core values define you both as a woman and as a competitor on the Galaxy stage?
Someone who is strong, independent & determined. We want everyone to be the best version of themselves as well as ourselves. Women can achieve wonderful things!
6.- How do you prepare mentally and emotionally for the visibility and responsibility that come with pageantry?
Its been challenging (in the best way) especially balancing with my work, studies, hobbies & content creation. But alongside of this I have had such a blast preparing for the finals. I try to remember no matter what I have done everything I can & tried my absolute hardest. Also its normal & okay to feel a whole range of emotions throughout the journey including stress & frustration etc.
7.- What challenges have you faced in balancing creative freedom with the expectations of a national title?
Perhaps being my first pageant, I feel like I have been able to express myself freely & creatively. Being true to yourself is a major important part!
8.- As someone who loves cosplay and pop culture, how do these passions influence your confidence and self-expression?
I have always loved cartoons, toys etc & like to call myself a big kid at heart. As a teen I wasn’t very confident with myself at all & never believed I was beautiful. Participating in cosplay photoshoots especially have helped me a lot with my confidence & in a way that feels authenticity me with characters I love!
9.- What does modern femininity mean to you in 2026?
To me it means women can be anyone they want to me. A balance of all that is strength, softness, independence & choices in what life paths we choose to take.
10.- How do you handle criticism or online scrutiny in such a connected world?
You need to remember the people who know you & love you most. Focus your attention to those who do support you.
11.- What leadership qualities do you believe are essential for a titleholder today?
Someone who is passionate, reliable, understanding. Also someone who listens to others & takes accountability.

12.- Could you share a defining lesson you’ve learned throughout your Galaxy journey so far?
I have learnt so far that things don’t always go the way you may have planned & that is okay, just gotta keep going!
13.- What social causes or advocacy work are closest to your heart?
Being autistic & growing up with mental health conditions I will always been passionate spreading awareness & advocate in those areas. I struggled a lot in high school with bullying, I didn’t have many friends & always felt out of place amongst my peers. I am also passionate about people with disabilities in the work force. Many, many disabled people are determined & wanting to work but most of the workforce do not give them a chance which is really sad, this needs to change.
14.- How do you use storytelling in your UGC work to create genuine connection with your audience?
I love to do my UGC work in a way that I can submit & post saying how much I enjoyed creating this content. As it has been less than a year I am still learning & exploring new ways to improve my content everyday.
15.- What role does discipline play in your daily routine and long-term ambitions?
You gotta plan ahead sometimes & it can be hard! I’m a person who loves to always be busy & have things going on which can cause burnout. You also gotta have lazy days to balance with the productive days.
16.- Who are the women — past or present — that inspire your vision of success?
A lot of my friends & loved ones always inspire me to succeed, try new things & do what I love which I am so thankful for. My interest in content creation & learning to sew & craft for cosplay was inspired by my friends who do all those things really well. Since my teens I have always looked up to Icelandic artist Björk. As someone who felt out of place for so many years & afraid to embrace my quirks, the fact that Björk is unapologetically weird & its something so many people love about her, shes a real inspiration to me. Her music got me through some of my hardest times.
17.- What does elegance mean to you beyond appearance?
Its passion, strength, independence & not afraid to be your true self. Its being kind, respectful & accepting to people of all kinds.
18.- How do you envision your legacy beyond the competition itself?
That I can hopefully inspire others & that autistic people like myself can achieve anything they wish to.
19.- What advice would you offer to young women in Australia who feel “different” or unconventional?
Finding your people is crucial, cause they you realise there actually was never anything wrong with you to start with. Find & focus on the right people, don’t be afraid & hide your true passions & interests for the sake of trying to fit in with others. Those who don’t value you as a person aren’t worth your time & its okay to walk away if needed.
20.- In your view, how can pageantry evolve to remain relevant in contemporary culture?
If people take part in pageantry because its something they do for enjoyment & are passionate about, it can most definitely stay relevant for many years to come.
21.- When you think about the future, what dreams are you most determined to turn into reality?
I would love to grow a future with my partner Nathaniel & do all the things like marriage, family, getting our own place etc. I want to grow old with him & will never stop being a cat mum.
