1.- Rachel, tell me about the city where you were born and raised. ,What do you like about your hometown?
I was born in a different village than where I grew up. I was born in a village just north of Amsterdam but grew up in the south of the Netherlands. What I like most about my hometown is that it’s a small village where everyone knows each other and is there for each other.
2.- What are your hobbies? what makes you laugh a lot or gives you joy?
My biggest hobby is beauty pageants. I also enjoy going to the gym, playing escape rooms, going out to cafes, and having fun with friends. But beauty pageants and helping people hold a very special place in my heart.
3.-International Model, Miss Unite Ambassador, Miss Unite Netherlands 2025. When did you decide to take your first steps as a model and beauty pageants? What feeling do you have achieving your dreams, your passions and being a recognized influencer woman today?
That’s actually quite a funny story. Three years ago, I was scouted for a beauty pageant, and that’s how I kind of fell into the beauty pageant world. The modeling job came about because I’d attended a catwalk training session at a modeling agency, and they wanted me so badly that I joined their modeling team right away. The feeling I get is of course initially joy, but then also definitely pride, because I was bullied a lot when I was younger and I actually never expected that I would be standing here today with an international title and as happy as I am now.
4.- What do you think is the distinctive, unique stamp of Rachel in each activity carried out as a beauty queen and model?
I think I’m going for my self-confidence, but at the same time, I’m also very kind and empathetic. I like to listen to others and always try to help others where possible.
5.- Whats is the main virtue that any woman must have to be an internacional model?
Perseverance! Don’t stop if someone tells you you can’t do it. As long as you believe in yourself, you can do anything you want. Find an organization where you feel comfortable and heard, but also sees you as a person, not a number. So, keep going and be confident.
6.- Are you aware of being an influential woman for thousands of girls who want to be models? How important is it to you to be an idol for many girls and teenagers?
I don’t really feel like an idol or a role model. But when girls come up to me wanting to take a picture with me because they look up to me, it does feel very special. I always feel a bit more like a big sister with wise advice than a role model. I think it’s incredibly important for young children and teenagers to have someone to look up to because that’s how they discover what they can become and that if something goes wrong in life, it doesn’t immediately mean the end.
7.- What was your feeling the first time you modeled in front of a video camera? What did you feel the first time at a beauty pageant?
Both very nervous and insecure because I always thought I wasn’t good enough, but look where we are now.
8.- What do you think about the power of social media today?
Social media holds enormous power in today’s world. It can amplify voices that were once unheard, connect people across borders, and bring important issues into the spotlight within seconds. At the same time, that power comes with responsibility. What we share and support online can influence opinions, shape identities, and even impact real-life safety and wellbeing.
I believe social media is a tool: it can inspire confidence, create change, and build communities when used consciously, but it can also spread misinformation or negativity just as fast. That’s why I think it’s essential to use platforms with intention—choosing authenticity, respect, and purpose—so the power of social media becomes a force for empowerment rather than harm.

9.- How do you like to interact with your followers on social media? Whats your favorite social media?
What I like most is just talking to people about everything and anything and I prefer to do this via Instagram and Snapchat
10.- What would you advise young people who have talent but do not dare to take the next step? What would you advise parents who do not support their children’s talents?
To young people with talent who don’t dare to take the next step:
Your talent was given to you for a reason. Fear, doubt, and insecurity are normal when you step outside your comfort zone, but they should never be the reason you stop. You don’t have to see the whole path—just the next step. Start small, trust your growth, and remember that confidence is built by doing, not by waiting to feel ready. Your voice and your talent matter, and the world cannot benefit from them if you keep them hidden.
To parents who do not support their children’s talents:
Support does not mean having all the answers or agreeing with every choice—it means listening, believing, and creating a safe space for your child to explore who they are. When children feel seen and encouraged, they grow stronger, more resilient, and more confident. Even if a path feels unfamiliar or uncertain, your trust and support can be the foundation that allows your child to discover their potential and become their best self.
11.- What important lessons have you learned from the world of fashion and beauty pageants?
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that you should always be yourself. Don’t change just because someone doesn’t like you or whatever. Always keep at it, and you’ll get there eventually. It might not be in two weeks, but maybe in two years, but you’ll get there eventually.
12.- Rachel, being a model for you has been easy? Were there obstacles? How did you overcome obstacles?
It wasn’t too difficult because I’m affiliated with a very good modeling agency, BePrettyModels, and they help you with all your questions, which is really helpful as a beginner model. However, the modeling world can be tough, and you have to be prepared to accept that if you don’t fit the mold, you won’t be booked or you’ll be booked less often.
13.- Have you thought about being an actress? Do you like the entertainment industry?
Yes, I’ve thought about it, but I haven’t found a role that really suits me yet. The entertainment world is definitely a world that suits me, and I feel really at home on stage, so hosting a show or beauty pageant someday would be fantastic.
14.- Worldwide, women have acquired a greater role even though there are societies where they are still abused. What is your opinion of the role of women in the future in these societies?
Women will continue to play an increasingly powerful role, even in societies where inequality still exists. Through education, representation, and economic independence, women will help reshape these societies from within. The future lies in equality where women are respected, protected, and valued as essential contributors to a stronger and more just world.
15.- Rachel, what is your motivation and what do you feel grateful for every day?
I’m grateful that I can be myself. As a trans woman, that’s unfortunately not the case in every country, and my motivation is to change this. I believe that everyone should be able to be who they want to be without risking not making it through the day.
16.- Rachel, Do you like to travel? What countries do you know? What other countries would you like to know and which places do you recommend to visit from your country?
Yes, I definitely love traveling. I love meeting new people and discovering new cultures, and that’s impossible if you just stay at home on the couch. I’ve mostly been to European countries, but I also went to Cuba once, and it was truly beautiful. Next year I’m going to India, and I’m incredibly curious about the country and its people. Asia also seems like a truly beautiful continent, and I’d love to go there more often. If you’re in the Netherlands, you should definitely visit Amsterdam, and also the windmills and tulip fields. But the Netherlands is more than just Amsterdam; if you venture a little further from the capital, you’ll discover some truly beautiful places.

18.- Rachel, your last words or final tips
Always be yourself because you are beautiful just the way you are. Be kind to each other and help others where necessary and possible. Show respect for everyone and sometimes think twice or three times before you say or respond on social media because what might feel like a small thing to you could be the last straw for someone else. And the most important tip is to embrace your destiny.
