Opgroeiend op het prachtige Mornington Peninsula in Victoria — een plek waar natuur en moderne levensstijl harmonieus samenkomen — heeft Lana zich ontwikkeld tot een talentvolle model en rolmodel met een sterke visie. De adembenemende landschappen van haar thuisbasis, haar passie voor watersport, mode en avontuur, en haar hechte band met vrienden en familie vormen de essentie van wie ze is.
In deze introductie ontdekken we een jonge vrouw die sinds 2022 haar weg in de modellenwereld begon te smeden en in 2024 haar roeping vond binnen de beauty pageants. Lana straalt door haar authentieke energie, haar uitzonderlijke veerkracht en haar oprechte verlangen om anderen te inspireren. Haar missie om jeugdmentorschap en levenslang leren te promoten laat zien dat haar rol als finalist verder gaat dan glamour — ze gebruikt haar platform bewust en met een hart dat gericht is op impact.
Met een unieke combinatie van elegantie, kracht, empathie en een uitgesproken growth mindset, bewijst Lana dat ware schoonheid ligt in passie, karakter en vastberadenheid. Vandaag staat ze niet alleen op de catwalk, maar ook als een invloedrijke stem voor duizenden jonge meiden die dromen van hun eigen pad naar het succes.
1.- Lana, tell me about the city where you were born and raised. ,What do you like about your hometown?
I Live on the Mornington Peninsula here in Victoria, Australia. My hometown is home to some of the most beautiful landscapes and beaches in Victoria. What I love about my hometown is that it offers a unique way of life, I get to be in harmony with both worlds of Nature and city life. Which is why Im so grateful to live where I live.
2.- What are your hobbies? what makes you laugh a lot or gives you joy?
I have quite a few hobbies, mostly consisting of water sports, motorbike riding and Sewing. Anything that is action and sport related gives me such energy and memories along with it. I gain the most amount of joy when I’m doing these things with friends and family, making adventures together. An example of my favourite summer hobby is definitely wakeboarding and wakesurfing. Its such a fun skill to have and I love learning to upskill in all areas of life even outside of hobbies.
3.- Miss Teen Galaxy Australia 2026 National Finalist. When did you decide to take your first steps as a model and beauty pageants? What feeling do you have achieving your dreams, your passions and being a recognized influencer woman today?
I decided back in 2022 that I wanted to try modeling, it was something that I had such an organic passion for. Because I had always wanted to bring people’s creations to life through fashion. After a few years of modeling I discovered my first pageant in 2024. The Australia galaxy pageant aligned with all my desires for a pageant, and confidently exceeded all my dreams. Beginning pageants and modeling came from a genuine passion and dream of mine. I truly aspire to achieve my dreams in both Modeling and pageantry because I love what I have been able to share with the world in both of these industries.
I love that I’m able to share my platform and mission to advocate for youth mentorship and life long learning through my pageant platform and I love that I can show off my confident and majestic side through modeling and high fashion runways.
Being recognised as an influence to a large audience of primary young teens and youth is very special to me, and I dont take it lightly what influence i have on the next generations. Which is why I share my lived experience and mentor youth from all across Australia.
4.- What do you think is the distinctive, unique stamp of Lana in each activity carried out as a beauty queen and model?
My unique stamp that’s carried out as a beauty queen and model is definitely my pure passion, resilience and strength as a person. I’ll forever be the horsey, model pageant girl that combines her strengths and resources towards others. In addition to this another factor that makes me unique is my ability to take on setbacks so positively. Unlike some competitors who struggle to grow and learn from negative experiences, I actually use it as an opportunity to learn more about myself and share these learnings to others.
Because simply I hold myself to such a high level of a growth mindset. These areas about myself make me stand out in any industry that I work in because I’m always recognised as the hard worker and dedicated person in the room. And that no matter the outcome of the event or show I’m still the same resilient person.
5.- Whats is the main virtue that any woman must have to be an international model?
The main virtue women should have is confidence and trust in themselves. In order to go out into the international modeling industry. It’s so vital to be confident in yourself because the reality is that it’s a harsh industry. I’ve had several negative experiences in the modeling industry both internationally and nationally. Despite these experiences I choose to not let them affect me in any way shape or form, and I really do emphasize this to any models who wish to expand their career internationally.
Because without that high level of confidence people will push you around and the best version of yourself is always the confident un shaken version of yourself. That version of thyself is the most capable version you can be. And will support you no matter where you are in the world or what you are in yourcareer.
6.- Are you aware of being an influential woman for thousands of girls who want to be models? How important is it to you to be an idol for many girls and teenagers?
Being in my current position in the public eye and a direct influence to many young girls and models. I do take my position very seriously and always take this consideration into every post I make and every job that I do.
I always like to think to myself “is this something younger lana would have wanted” or “what does the outcome of this show or event affect my audience, what would they think?”. I immensely value being an idol to many young girls and teenagers, because I love that I can make an impact on so many people’s lives. I think its so cool how i can share my lived experience to so many and use my leadership skills to help those who look up to me
7.- What was your feeling the first time you modeled in front of a video camera? What did you feel the first time at a beauty pageant?
The first time I ever did a proper photoshoot I felt so amazed and in disbelief that it was actually me in the photos. From that moment forward I wanted to create powerful photos and editorial shots. It’s a feeling I’ll never forget because it made me feel almost euphoric. In addition to this memory my first time on stage for my pageant, at the Australia Galaxy Pageant earlier this year. I felt so energetic and beautiful.
With each pose and turn in my evening gown or fashion wear, I felt so confident like I was a star in the sky. The spotlights and music in the background will forever be imprinted on my mind. I never had felt so present and aware in my life. With each second that passed on the stage, it felt like a blessing.
8.- What do you think about the power of social media today?
Social media has so many positive and negative effects on youth particularly. Social media has the power and control over so many lives. Which is why I myself take initiative and awareness to anything that I share online because there are people comparing themselves, shaming and even discriminating against others on these platforms.
The power of social media today is unlike anything we have ever seen before. Which is why we can reach large audiences, create communities and connect with others. However it still has the power to destroy people’s lives through the relentless bullies, haters and envious people online. So I encourage everyone to take awareness before posting or interacting on any social media platform, because we don’t know how deeply our words or actions can subconsciously affect people’s lives.
9.- How do you like to interact with your followers on social media? Whats your favorite social media?
I interact with my friends and followers primarily through instagram , as that’s my preference for posting and using its platform. Instagram is a great resource for so many people including myself, because it’s easy to use, research and discover new things. That’s why instagram is my favourite social media platform.
10.- What would you advise young people who have talent but do not dare to take the next step? What would you advise parents who do not support their children’s talents?
I would advise that young people who are scared to take the next steps to “do it scared”. Whether they have support or not, you should always chase your dreams. Because if you have the talent and obsession there is always a way for you to succeed. I know what it’s like to have that fear associated with trying at something and fearing rejection or disapproval.
But I would advise that if you choose to stay in your comfort zone you won’t go anywhere, and that’s simply not how people succeed. Which is why I’ll always support those who are willing to try because if you want something bad enough then you’ll make it happen. And even if someone doesn’t have the talent or support yet, I know how capable a person can be. Because anyone has the power within themselves to achieve great things. I would also advise that parents should always support their children’s talents because if you’re blessed enough to have children. Then support them in the things they love and are great at because that’s them trying to find their place in the world. And without their parents’ support the world can feel even more lonelier and harder to live in.
11.- What important lessons have you learned from the world of fashion and beauty pageants?
The three most important life lessons I’ve learnt through fashion and pageants are definitely. Trust yourself and be confident in anything that you do, because confidence is the key to success. Confidence is what taught me to be a stronger person and high achiever.
Confidence is something that comes naturally to me despite, the fashion industry particularly challenging one’s confidence. The second lesson I learnt through pageants was to be yourself. Because pageantry supported my personal growth I learnt to be myself no matter where I am.
And that has fundamentally changed my motivation towards everything, being myself has allowed me to try new things and make a difference in the world. And finally the third lesson I learnt was to be resilient which came from both pageants and the fashion industry. Being resilient is always choosing to be the better person, being resilient helps me learn quicker and grow as a person.
12.- Lana, being a model for you has been easy? Were there obstacles?How did you overcome obstacles?
Being a model did come to me very easy in terms of the skills of being confident in front of a camera and on the runway. However I have faced so many obstacles to get to where I am today. I’ve had to learn how to be hyper independent at busy runway shows and prepare things in advance. I’ve also experienced the highs and lows of receiving offers and being rejected countless times by agencies or casting directors.
So what I did to bounce back from these setbacks and difficult circumstances is to be resilient. Being resilient is what gave me the hope that one day I would get booked for big jobs, and I can now confidently say that I have.
13.- Have you thought about being an actress? Do you like the entertainment industry?
Acting is something I’ve always thought about but haven’t yet taken the proper time to give it a go. But the entertainment industry is definitely something I want to learn more about and potentially invest myself in.
14.- Worldwide, women have acquired a greater role even though there are societies where they are still abused. What is your opinion of the role of women in the future in these societies?
I think women have such vital and important roles across the world. In regards to women in societies where they are deprived of the opportunity to work or live their dreams. It is definitely a reality for way too many women, which is why I’ll forever be grateful for the opportunities that I’ve had.
The future for women living in these societies is changing and as time goes by we will know more about these rising issues. But I believe there is always the possibility for great change to be made some day.
15.- Lana, what is your motivation and what do you feel grateful for every day?
My main source of motivation comes from my memory of my past self. The memory remains of young Lana dreaming of horses in her backyard or walking the runway to compete at national pageants. These flashbacks of the once desperation keep me working hard every day to pursue these dreams.
My gratitude every day always consists of the gratitude for great health and supportive parents. I’ll never not be grateful for my ability to wake up every morning feeling great and being able to hug my parents as much as I like. It’s a gift that I get to live my life like this so I take my gratitude very deeply.
16.- Lana, Do you like to travel? What countries do you know? What other countries would you like to know and which places do you recommend to visit from your country?
I do love travel and have traveled to over 6 different countries, spending most of my time in France. I have traveled to mostly Europe and tropical islands such as Fiji. I do intend on traveling to eastern europe in 2026 so i can explore my heritage that’s within Serbia, Croatia and Montenegro.
The places that I highly recommend here in Australia are definitely the East coast and south of Australia which is where I am. Here there are some of the most beautiful landscapes and beaches.
17.- Lana, your last words or final tips
I wish that anyone who reads about me or has a similar aspiration as mine. To always try and give it your all. Because no matter how big the dream or the goal in mind. You’re more capable and powerful than you know. My self discovery through Pageantry and modeling is what allowed me to achieve my greatest desires.
