1.- Juliana, tell me about the city where you were born and raised. ,What do you like about your hometown?
I was born in Brazil in the city of São Paulo but I didn’t grow up there or at least… I lived there until I was three and then I was adopted and moved to the Netherlands with my adoptive parents.
What I like most about my birth city is: the warmth, hospitality of my biological family, the music and wonderful food, drinks and dancing together
2.- What are your hobbies? What makes you laugh a lot or gives you joy?
I definitely have hobbies! I like to work with music, I sing, play basic piano and guitar. My motto is: a day without music is a day not lived. For the rest I like to be creative here and there. I like sports and I am someone who doesn’t like to sit still
3.-International Model, Mrs Unity Netherlands 2025 Finalist. When did you decide to take your first steps as a model and beauty pageants? What feeling do you have achieving your dreams, your passions and being a recognized influencer woman today?
Yes, that is one word Awesome! I am grateful every day for the fact that I was given these opportunities. I learned to walk on high heels and do a catwalk walk. What an adventure and how happy I am to call myself a finalist Mrs Unity Netherlands
4.- What do you think is the distinctive, unique stamp of Juliana in each activity carried out as a beauty queen and model?
What makes me unique is that I have a disability and am also adopted. Despite that, I have learned not to worry about it… No, but to draw my strength from it. I am ultimately who I am and that is more than okay! That is also what I really want to give to people who struggle with the same thing.
5.- Whats is the main virtue that any woman must have to be an internacional model?
In my opinion, the most important thing to participate in a beauty pageant is: Be yourself! Showing and being yourself is so important because, pretending to be different has no use. In the Netherlands they always say: be yourself then you are already crazy enough. And for the rest laugh and enjoy the whole process. Go for it with yourself because, in the end you are also doing it for yourself.
6.- Are you aware of being an influential woman for thousands of girls who want to be models? How important is it to you to be an idol for many girls and teenagers?
For me it means a lot, to be able and allowed to be an example for many girls and ladies. As a mother of a 4-year-old son. I am also an example. It is simply indescribable how beautiful that is. Glad that I can and may contribute in a way. That is very special and nice.
7.- What was your feeling the first time you modeled in front of a video camera? What did you feel the first time at a beauty pageant?
The first time I was allowed to stand in front of a real camera as a model… Yes one word Awesome! The day I got an email from Miss Unity Netherlands, well that was incredible. I still remember well that I said: Huh what am I experiencing now I didn’t know how to react. I was intensely happy and felt an enormous boost of self-confidence all at once. I mean… I signed up for the joke and suddenly the joke became reality. Yes, that was really great and fun.
8.- What do you think about the power of social media today?
I think that the power of social media can be interpreted in different ways. It can be negative or positive. Personally, I think it is in how you deal with it and how you are involved with it. I personally really enjoy, for example: creating content and sharing it with my followers. Carrying out new social media assignments. interviews like this one. I then dive into it completely and go for it.
9.- How do you like to interact with your followers on social media? Whats your favorite social media?
I personally like to work with the question stickers via Instagram, but if I post a message and they respond, I also like to answer my followers there! My favorite social media is definitely Tik Tok and Instagram
I really enjoy making a dance or a singing recording, I love that!
10.- What would you advise young people who have talent but do not dare to take the next step? What would you advise parents who do not support their children’s talents?
Don’t be afraid to fail! I mean if you consider it then it’s all exciting enough. Failure is not bad because you are unique in your own way! You are just a human being and that’s okay. You can do this! Parents support your child, comfort them when it’s not fun, be happy for them when they do succeed. Because every beginning is something and you have to start somewhere. Don’t give yourself too high expectations but, enjoy the moment. Be proud when you’ve tried something new out of your comfort zone. THAT’S OKAY!
11.- What important lessons have you learned from the world of fashion and beauty pageants?
What I have learned in this world is: Always be yourself and above all close to yourself. Beauty does not only come from the outside but is also on the inside.
12.- Juliana, being a model for you has been easy? Were there obstacles?How did you overcome obstacles?
For me it was certainly not an easy road. It was more like a very big mirror that was held up to me. Which for me actually turned out very positively. I got to know myself completely differently. Learned that I could and should be myself. That I am good enough and that I am allowed to be there. I overcame everything by continuing and not giving up. By fighting for what I wanted to achieve.
13.- Juliana, what is your motivation and what do you feel grateful for every day?
My motivation is then really my number one my dear son, my boyfriend, family, my best friends and the lord who is always with us. I am also very grateful for this every day. So THANK YOU SO MUCH!
14.- Juliana, Do you like to travel? What countries do you know? What other countries would you like to know and which places do you recommend to visit from your country?
haha How nice that you ask this. I am not a traveler at all. I have been by plane exactly once and then I came from my birth country to the Netherlands. I do like to travel by car, bike and or public transport to different places in the Netherlands. One day I would like to go on a flying holiday but when, that will be… nobody knows yet
