1.- Noa, tell me about the city where you were born and raised., What do you like about your hometown?
I was born and raised in Nijmegen the Netherlands. The thing I like the most about my hometown is The Walk of The Year, the 4 Day Marches. In Dutch it is called de vierdaagse feesten. We are partying 7 days and the people who are walking are walking 4 days. It is a huge festival. The people are walking long distances, up to 50 kilometers a day.
2.- What are your hobbies? what makes you laugh a lot or gives you joy?
My hobbies are teaching dance classes. In my daily life I am a dance teacher. This is something I do with much love. So, dancing gives me joy. But also, my friends and family give me joy. I love them all. I am also enjoying the small things.
3.-International Model, Miss Diversity Netherlands 2022 – Miss Congeniality of Gelderland 2024. When did you decide to take your first steps as a model and beauty pageants? What feeling do you have achieved your dreams, your passions and being a recognized influencer woman today?
In 2020 I already did Miss Beauty of Gelderland. I was not chosen as a finalist. And I agree with their descision. Mentally I was not in a good place. I was very insecure about myself. So, I worked on myself. In 2022 I was thinking to give it another shot. That is when I decided to sign myself up for Miss Diversity Netherlands. When I was chosen to be a finalist, I couldn’t be happier. The procedure was so much fun and a personal growth. I loved everything about it. In May 2022 I was chosen to be Miss Diversity Netherlands 2022. When they announced my name, I was crying. I could not believe it that I won. So, when my year was done, and I had given my crown to my Miss Diversity Netherlands 2023 colleague, I decided that I wasn’t done. I decided to sign myself up for Miss Beauty of Gelderland 2024, because I was scouted by the former Miss Beauty of Gelderland 2023. And that procedure was also so much fun and made me grow as a person. The feeling I have by achieving my dreams are many. The most important thing is that I am an example for the younger generation and more.
4.- What do you think is the distinctive, unique stamp of Noa in each activity carried out as a beauty queen and model?
That is a good question. The most unique thing is that I am always myself. No matter where I am or who I’m with. I am always myself. I have ADHD and that is something I am not ashamed of. My ADHD makes me who I am. And that is also something I would like to make more aware of.
5.- What is the main virtue that any woman must have to be an international model?
In my opinion nothing in particular. Everyone is unique and beautiful in their own way. There isn’t anything you need to have to be a international model.
6.- Are you aware of being an influential woman for thousands of girls who want to be models? How important is it to you to be an idol for many girls and teenagers?
Yes I am. And that is something I always dreamed of when I was younger. One year ago I was asked to give a presentation about me, my awareness, but most importantly this gave me a platform to inspire young teenagers. When I was giving my presentation to this age group, I saw that they were glowing. Glowing like they had found someone who understands them. When my presentation was done, they came to thank me. They really enjoyed it and saw the purpose of the presentation.
7.- What was your feeling the first time you modeled in front of a video camera? What did you feel the first time at a beauty pageant?
I never struggle standing in front of the camera. I have always loved the spot light, also when I was little. But the first time I was competing in a beauty pageant I was really insecure about myself. To be honest about everything. So the first time I competed in Miss Diversity I was insecure about myself. But the process I went through during these 3 months gave me so much joy and growth. I finally found myself. But also when I was competing in Miss Beauty of Gelderland. I was also insecure about my body and just who I was. Also this process competing in Miss Beauty of Gelderland was such a great time. I started to love myself again. Also I got the help I needed to. So if you are struggling with anything, speak up and ask for help. You can do this and I’m so proud of you.
8.- What do you think about the power of social media today?
Social media is good and bad. You get to have the contact with your family, friends and loved ones. But Social media depicts a way of living that is not realistic. We all post our best pictures on Social media because that’s ‘’the perfect picture’’, but it isn’t. Sometimes that makes me sad. Young teenagers are comparing themselves to the person on the picture. This is where insecurity begins. But you are beautiful in your own way. We are all different and that is something we should be very proud of. There is only one of you.
9.- How do you like to interact with your followers on social media? Whats your favorite social media?
I would love to have more interaction with Instagram. I would love to be a influencer like Joann vd Herik. But the way I interact with my followers is by posting pictures or doing something like a Q&A. That is always a lot of fun. Sometimes people are sending me a DM and most of the time I answer all their questions.
10.- What would you advise young people who have talent but do not dare to take the next step? What would you advise parents who do not support their children’s talents?
Don’t listen to people that don’t support you!!! Because of my ADHD, I heard a lot of people say: ‘’she isn’t going to achieve anything because of her ADHD’’ ‘’She is a distraction to herself’’ ‘’She can’t focus on anything’’. If I had listened to all those people who said that, I wouldn’t be where I am today. If you want something you need to go for it. Get out of your comfort zone. I know it’s really scary, trust me, if been there. But you can do this! But you have to surround yourself with people who have faith in you. So that’s what I did.
11.- What important lessons have you learned from the world of fashion and beauty pageants?
That is a lot. The most important lessons that always comes to mind is that I learned to love myself. But you also get new friends, new sisters, almost a new life. But I also learned that no one is the same. Nobody is perfect. We are all unique in our own way.
12.- Noa, being a model for you has been easy? Were there obstacles? How did you overcome obstacles?
Yes and no. Yes, because I am going after something that I really want to do. And I get to know myself a lot more. Like who I really am. And no, because sometimes it was really hard. For example, the first time I did an interview with a paper and it was published online. I was getting a lot of hate in the comments. People were saying that I normalize being plus size or that I was just fat. But people who are saying that are more insecure about themselves. I didn’t let the hate comments get to me. I think if I did let it get to me, I wouldn’t participate in any pageant anymore. But it’s also something I’m used to. People are always judging everything. So, you do you. You do it for yourself, for your family, your friends. Don’t listen to people who are saying all those horrible things about you. That aren’t even true.
13.- Have you thought about being an actress? Do you like the entertainment industry?
I would love the be an actress, but right now that isn’t possible because of my studies. But never say never.
14.- Worldwide, women have acquired a greater role even though there are societies where they are still abused. What is your opinion of the role of women in the future in these societies?
Well I think it’s very sad that there are still women that have to deal with abuse. It’s really sad. But the thing I would do for these women is that I would help them to stand up for themselves and that they don’t accept any abuse anymore. I would also help them to become a stronger women. Not because they aren’t, but in a way that they can stand up for themselves and that they are capable to do so.
15.- Noa, what is your motivation and what do you feel grateful for every day?
My motivation is that every day is a different day, do everything you want to do and go outside your comfort zone. The things I feel grateful for are the things that I can do every day but also doing things with my friends and family. And that I can just be me. I don’t care what people think about me. It wasn’t always like that, but now I really don’t care.
16.- Noa, do you like to travel? What countries do you know? What other countries would you like to know, and which places do you recommend to visit from your country?
Yes and no. I love to go on a vacation but, I don’t like travelling around. I love the Netherlands a lot. I don’t see myself living somewhere else. But the country I love the most is Greece. I don’t know why, but Greece is so special to me. I love the people there and the country is just beautiful.

Do things you want to achieve in your life. Enjoy every little thing and be proud of yourself. We only have one you on this earth. And if you ever struggle with anything, ask for help. Asking for help isn’t weird, it’s justice for yourself. It’s powerful.
