1.- Isabella, tell me about the city where you were born and raised. ,What do you like about your hometown?
I was born and raised in Sittard, a city in the south of the Netherlands. I’ve lived here all my life, and I absolutely love it! What I enjoy most about my hometown is the peaceful atmosphere, the beautiful green environment, and the cozy city center.
2.- What are your hobbies? what makes you laugh a lot or gives you joy?
My hobbies are dancing and being creative! I’m always working on craft projects I just can’t sit still. And of course, I also love pageants and modeling. These activities bring me so much joy!
3.- International Model, Miss Baroqco 2024 – Miss Grand Limburg 2024 – Miss Supranational Netherlands 2nd RU . When did you decide to take your first steps as a model and beauty pageants? What feeling do you have achieving your dreams, your passions and being a recognized influencer woman today?
In 2022, I participated in my first pageant, which opened up a whole new world for me. After a few small modeling assignments, I decided that 2024 would be the year I fully committed to this path. This year, I’ve competed in two beauty pageants, both of which were great successes for me! I really enjoyed sharing my story and platform, and being a role model for others. I’ve learned so much along the way, and with the title of Miss Baroqco, I have some exciting things ahead.
4.- What do you think is the distinctive, unique stamp of Isabella in each activity carried out as a beauty queen and model?
The distinctive, unique stamp I bring to each activity as a beauty queen and model is showcasing my creative side! Having completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering, I love merging these seemingly different worlds. For example, I designed and 3D-printed the BaroQco crown, which was an amazing experience. I always strive to incorporate this creativity into everything I do.
5.- Whats is the main virtue that any woman must have to be an internacional model?
I believe it’s important for a woman to be herself and to have the courage to showcase her unique qualities. It’s that uniqueness that enables a woman to make a difference in the beauty pageant world.
6.- Are you aware of being an influential woman for thousands of girls who want to be models? How important is it to you to be an idol for many girls and teenagers?
I’m certainly aware of the significant influence I have, which is why it’s important to me to be a good role model. I also strive to present a realistic image, showing that my life includes school and everyday activities as well. I want to be the positive example on social media that I missed when I was younger.
7.- What was your feeling the first time you modeled in front of a video camera? What did you feel the first time at a beauty pageant?
I found it incredibly scary to stand in front of the camera for the first time! Currently, I enjoy it much more. The stage has never been a problem for me, although there’s still plenty to learn both on stage and in front of the camera.
8.- What do you think about the power of social media today?
Social media has a significant impact! I believe it’s crucial not to make anyone feel insecure, but instead to encourage them to pursue their hobbies and dreams.
9.- How do you like to interact with your followers on social media? Whats your favorite social media?
I mainly use Instagram. During the time when I was actively sharing content about my platform, I had many enriching conversations in my DMs. Some people shared their personal stories, while others wanted to discuss various relevant topics. I learned a lot from these interactions and had the opportunity to educate others about women in technology.
10.- What would you advise young people who have talent but do not dare to take the next step? What would you advise parents who do not support their children’s talents?
Never give up! I’m fortunate to have the full support of my parents and closest friends. For instance, my mom is my biggest role model. If you believe you have the talent and passion, go for it! For parents who may not support their children’s talents, I would advise them to recognize and nurture their children’s passions. Support can make a significant difference in their development and confidence.
11.- What important lessons have you learned from the world of fashion and beauty pageants?
Sometimes, a bit of luck is needed! While dedication is crucial and you are the one who can turn your dreams into reality, it’s important to acknowledge that luck can also play a role, and not everything is within your control.
12.- Isabella, being a model for you has been easy? Were there obstacles?How did you overcome obstacles?
Starting my career was challenging; I wasn’t sure where to begin but was determined to follow my dream. After participating in two beauty pageants at the 12 Months of Beauty organization, I learned the importance of full commitment. I also received valuable support from Amanda, the owner of Tijd voor Mij Models, a lovely modeling agency.
13.- Have you thought about being an actress? Do you like the entertainment industry?
I’ve never had a strong desire to act, but I’ve been passionate about dancing since I was little.
14.- Worldwide, women have acquired a greater role even though there are societies where they are still abused. What is your opinion of the role of women in the future in these societies?
Fortunately, women are gaining more recognition, though there’s still much work to be done. Gender-based expectations are limiting, which is why I believe it’s crucial to continue challenging these norms. In the future, I see women’s roles growing stronger, even in societies where they face abuse, as long as we keep advocating for equality.
15.- Isabella, what is your motivation and what do you feel grateful for every day?
The experiences I’ve gained motivate me to keep pushing forward. I believe everyone has been underestimated at some point in their life, and it feels empowering to prove that you can achieve anything you set your mind to!
16.- Isabella, Do you like to travel? What countries do you know? What other countries would you like to know and which places do you recommend to visit from your country?
I love to travel and have been fortunate to visit many countries in Europe, and visited Asia and the United States. One day, I hope to visit Australia. In the Netherlands, I highly recommend visiting Maastricht—it’s a beautiful city that everyone should see at least once.
